Portrush :
The town of Portrush is situated on a mile long peninsula jutting out from the north Antrim coast into the Atlantic Ocean. It is reknowned as Northern Ireland's premier tourist destination due to the wealth of attractions and activities available in the area as well as the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding countryside and coastline. It has an attractive harbour and two fantastic sandy beaches, East and West Strand as shown on the aerial photo below (view taken from northern tip looking south). The apartment is situated on the north east side of the peninsula, facing east along the coastline towards the Giant's Causeway.
Getting there :
From North or East : A2 from Belfast to Ballymena, A26 to Ballymoney, B62 to Portrush onto A2 coast road. Follow signs round one-way system to Lansdowne.
From West : A6 Londonderry/Derry to Coleraine, A29 to Portrush onto A2 coast road then as above.
By rail : Portrush railway station is less than half a mile from the apartment.
By air : Belfast International airport 48 miles, Belfast City airport 63 miles, Derry City airport 30 miles.
